Ferrari spent seventy-five years refusing to build an SUV, then built this: 715 hp from a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, four individual seats and rear-hinged doors. It is the only car in the fleet that will take four adults to dinner and still sound like a race car doing it.

A V12 that takes the whole family

Four of us, four seats, and a naturally aspirated V12 the entire way. My wife did not want to get out. The rear doors opening backwards got more attention than the badge did.

Suspension is witchcraft

Flat through corners, soft over the awful pavement near the port. I do not understand how it does both and I stopped trying.

Superb, but read the mileage

The car and the handover were both flawless. Just note it is on the stricter terms rather than the SUV ones: 150 miles a day, not 200. Apex flagged it before I booked, which is why this is a four and not a complaint.

School run, briefly

Picked up my sister and her two kids in it. The rear doors and the V12 combined produced more excitement than anything I have done as an aunt.

Four adults, no compromise

Everyone had proper space and everyone heard the V12. I did not think a Ferrari could do both at once.
